All About Puzzles Posted by: The Mad Professor on Monday, April 27, 2009 - 06:29 PM
The Mad Professor enjoys putting puzzles together. Not so much the jigsaw types; he enjoys them but they are not a compulsion. What he enjoys are puzzles that involve discovery.
The Mad Professor is the creator of Picticon (picticon.com), a five axes model of things sexual. It's envisioned as a tool for webmasters and surfers alike. We are all puzzling here, and the Mad Professor recommends building and solving puzzles as a tool for improvement in these difficult times. His musings in the blog here trust to include some of the mechanics of the assembly of products, as well as the axes of content themselves. You will be able to handle it.
As most people we know, we shoot in some very strange locations.
Jim and Jenn Deans are adult industry activists and webmasters who entered the industry after being laid off from the high tech industry in 2002. They now run several amateur websites focused on real wives, including TheHiddenWife.com and MyWifeBucks.com.
When delivering video to your customers over the web, you want to get the highest possible quality at the smallest possible file-size. Uncompressed digital video files are enormous, and even conventionally compressed video is far, far too large (and bandwidth intensive) for web-based delivery. So, people have been hard at work for the last decade or so developing special techniques for compressing video files dramatically enough to make web-delivery viable, while sacrificing as little playback quality as possible to keep web-based video something the consumer would actually want to watch.

I was surfing around looking for some good porn the other day when I came across this website that specializes in “girl/girl” pictures and videos. In the old days we’d call that “lesbian porn,” but these days we like to distinguish between actual lesbians and the women who are willing to put on a show with other women strictly for the amusement of an audience. This site was definitely a “girl/girl” site and not a “lesbian” site. What caught my attention was the overall style at work in the images – everything from the selection of the models themselves to the camera angles and the expressions on the girls’ faces. The shots were absolutely perfect, in my opinion, for the popular “girl/girl” niche. My immediate thought was, “Damn I wish I could find someone who had content like this that I could license.”
There’s a formula for building the standard adult pay site. In fact, it’s rare for a webmaster to step too far away from this formula. First, you pick a niche. Next, you build a tour focused on that niche. Then you put up a few prominently-featured image galleries or video clip collections based on the selected niche theme, and you fill out the rest of the site with plug-in content from third parties. This filler content may or may not relate to your selected niche. That doesn’t really matter because it’s just filler. The niche galleries fulfill any promises made in the tour, and the filler content helps retain members by drowning them in quantity – even if it’s off topic. When it comes to up-sells, that’s what live video is for; members who want a little one-on-one time can wander over to your live video plug-in content and purchase some attention. It’s a nice bonus when it happens, but you don’t expect it to happen too often.
